Central Iowa Coed Soccer League
CICS return to play COVID-19 guidelines
5.26.2020
As we return to the field to enjoy the great game of soccer it will be important that we take extra precautions to keep everyone as safe as possible. Please review the below guidelines and follow them while participating in Central Iowa Coed Soccer (CICS) activities.

-
If you have any symptoms of illness, including but not limited to: Flu-like symptoms, fever, headache, cough, sneezing, runny nose, etc. you are not allowed on the field or on the sidelines. Stay home.
-
Social distancing of six feet should be practiced while off the field including sideline activity and spectators.
-
Yelling at other players, refs or fans will not be tolerated, any person yelling at another person within six feet will be asked to leave the field and facility. These incidents will not necessarily result in a yellow or red card, however for the safety of everyone you will be removed from the field.
-
Keep an accurate roster of who is at the game. This will be even more important if we need to alert players after the game that they may have come in contact with someone who had COVID during the game.
-
No post game handshakes. Please still acknowledge your opponents, teammates, referees, and fans through waves, thumbs up, smiles, nods, and verbal communication.
-
Do not share water bottles.
-
Fans will be asked to be seated on the opposite side of the field as the players.
-
Players and fans on the sidelines are encouraged to wear masks.
-
CICS will have games separated by an empty field whenever possible.
-
No high-fives or hugs.
-
Bring hand sanitizer and use on a regular basis.
-
Do not share jerseys or equipment. Bring your own and wash your own.
-
We understand that social distancing cannot be practiced on the field of play, by participating you are also recognizing this risk and are taking the risk on yourself.
-
Teams (both captains and players) are to help enforce fan adherence to these guidelines.
-
No loitering before or after the games.
